Taylor, who holds a masters degree in taxation, concentrates on business transactions and securities law, the capital raising process. Gladys Green is a long-time resident and community activist in Oakland. In addition to serving as Vice-Chair of the OBDC Board, Ms. Green is the Chair of the Life Enrichment Committee of the Community Action Committee, and board member of the Oakland Economic Development Corporation. She is an active member of Saint Benedict’s Church, where she is an electoral and Eucharistic minister. Previously Ms. Green has volunteered as the president of the Elmhurst Community Board for the City of Oakland, as a board member of the Community Action Agency, and as a member of the Coliseum Redevelopment Advisory Committee.

HSBC Bank US N.A. Johnny Cheng is the Vice President / Business Relationship Manager with HSBC Bank covering branches in San Francisco and Oakland. With more than 20 years in commercial banking in California and Asia, he is experienced in various kinds of commercial lending including SBA program, trade finance, business credit line and commercial real estate loan. He is also a board member of Chinese Newcomers Services Center in San Francisco.

Mark Alan Lindquist founded M.A. Lindquist Company, Inc. in 1984. As President and a registered architect, Mr. Lindquist directs the marketing and product development of M.A. Lindquist Co. Mr. Lindquist has 27 years of project experience, which includes large industrial, retail and commercial complexes, historic renovations, architectural review and code enforcement. Mr. Lindquist is a member of the Associated General Contractors of California and incoming Treasurer. He is an extremely active community volunteer, serving on a number of boards in addition to OBDC, including the Oakland Private Industry Council, Alameda County Salvation Army, the Northern California Carpenters’ Pension & Health & Welfare Funds, and the “Fly Oakland” committee.

Erwin Reeves - Secretary

Erwin Reeves is the Vice President and Community Development Manager for The Mechanics Bank in Richmond, California. With 17 years of experience in the banking industry, Mr. Reeves has served as an assistant branch manager, credit analyst/underwriter and a commercial loan officer prior to his current position. Mr. Reeves is also the Chief Operating Officer for The Mechanics Bank Community Development Corporation (TMBCDC), a wholly owned Subsidiary of The Mechanics Bank. Mr. Reeves is active on numerous boards and committees focusing on financial education, community and economic development and technical assistance for small businesses and non-profit organizations as part of the bank’s community development strategy. Mr. Reeves has a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Jackson State University and has completed the National Community Development Lending School held at UC Berkeley as well as Strategy for Non Profit Organizations from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
